Existence in this period seems to run across parallel universes that were created from one defining moment that divided every known body. A moment when all boundaries were broken
This feeling is not a point on a map, it is not limited to physical territory or scale. It has taken on a metaphysical entity of its own and creates a new geometry for expanding circles. An unknown body
The works presented in the exhibition were recently created in Israel and England. Gabriela Schutz and Guy Shoham live and work in London. Eyal Sasson, Eyal Adler Kelner, Netta Lieber Sheffer and Ophra Eyal in Israel. The works were created in a moment of inner convergence, when the personal and collective body became a battlefield. They raise questions about identity, home, and place in contemporary existence, while navigating the nuances of private and social vulnerability
This group of works draws the eye to the ‘soft underbelly’ and is presented in the heart of Jerusalem, which brings together the cohesion and disintegration of possible worlds at any given moment
